Liver Health Foundation: May 2025 Strategic Meeting Highlights

Venue: Fairway Hotel, Kampala

Liver Health Foundation convened a key strategic meeting on May 4th, 2025, to review progress, strengthen leadership, and chart the way forward in our commitment to promoting liver health and awareness across Uganda.

Key Outcomes from the Meeting:

Leadership Appointments:

A new leadership team was elected to guide the foundation through the next phase. These include appointments to roles such as Chairperson, General Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Communication, and Projects Director. These leaders bring a renewed sense of direction and commitment to our shared vision.

Participation in National Health Initiatives:

The foundation confirmed active participation in the Tubeere Balamu Health Camp organized by the Kabaka Foundation in Kyadondo, Kampala. This engagement aligns with our goal to collaborate with national stakeholders and expand community outreach.

Organizational Development:

A review and amendment process for the Foundation\'s constitution and strategic plan was initiated to enhance operational clarity and governance.

Identity cards will soon be issued to all members to improve accountability and representation.

Regular meeting schedules were agreed upon â€” with weekly online meetings and monthly physical check-ins.

Enhanced Communication & Coordination: A new digital communication platform (WhatsApp group) was launched to streamline internal collaboration and ensure efficient information flow.

Strategic Partnerships & Visibility: The Foundation will continue leveraging platforms such as the Kabaka Foundation to promote liver health education throughout Buganda and beyond.

We are energized by the progress made and deeply thankful to all members and stakeholders for their dedication. Together, we aim to amplify liver health awareness, advocate for early screening, and support vulnerable communities through targeted interventions.
